About
It started off with odd jobs painting walls and trim, years later he ended up hopping on labor construction crews in New York City, and doing a number of apartment and home repair projects in between to support the family’s business of buying and renting homes. Wilson Diaz, Head Handyman and Renovator of Resilient Repairs, learned the tricks of the trade with hands on experience. Years and many projects later he decided to venture into business and share his skills with friends and family members who were in search of high quality workmanship at a fair rate, and he is bringing the same level of precision and professionalism to your home or small business project today!

BECOMING A BATHROOM: AN UNUSUAL PORCH TRANSFORMATION
Over the course of 3 months this outdoor porch was transformed into a sleek and modern country bathroom. The project started with setting up the plumbing and heating sources, framing out the remainder of the soon to come interior space and insulating the area. Afterwards the room was ready for sheetrock and compound for the inner walls and new siding was added outdoors for a seamless finish to the new exterior wall. Then it was time for the finishing touches inside, sanding, painting, installing the tub, toilet, sink, light fixtures and building custom shelving/cabinetry to best suit the space.
CONDO CONVERSION: COMING STRAIGHT FROM THE 80’S TO 2020
After 30+ years of original style this 1988 condo was ready for a facelift. With a strict budget for everything from stainless steel appliances to modern vanities and everything in between, the kitchen, both bathrooms, each bedroom, and the living room went through a transformation fit for New York style. Melamine cabinets were refaced, oak flooring was sanded down and restrained a deep espresso finish, bathroom walls were tiled and new fixtures were installed. Bedrooms walls were repainted and new wall to wall carpeting were laid down. Each room was approached with care and consideration.
FULL FITNESS FACILITY FLIP: RUNDOWN DOJO TURNS INTO A DREAM GYM
The overall project seemed daunting, relocate 10000 sq ft worth of equipment over 600 miles to fit into a 4000 sq ft old martial arts studio and make sure that space looks good in just 2 months! Day in and day out bathrooms, office and main floor spaces were painted and new flooring installed, each bathroom was also tiled for a sleek, simple and clean finish. New sinks were installed as needed while older sinks and toilets were repaired for new use. Sheetrock and compound were also used to repair various walls throughout the facility for a clean professional finish. Working with an experienced moving group the equipment and fitness grade flooring were rolled and ready to relocate and laid down in their new home, ready for more push-up, sit-ups and squats for the masses.
HELPING AN OLD HOUSE BECOME A NEW HOME
Living in a renovation zone can be difficult to say the least but what if an entire house needed to be redone right down to the studs with each room required special attention and a unique approach? 2 bathrooms, 4 bedrooms and an open concept kitchen to living area was the plan but walls needed to be shifted, floors removed and ceilings raised, for a fresh and open feel. With prayers and planning each room was studied to determine the best approach to minimize time while maximizing usability. It was a true feat of craftsmanship to transform this 1900’s rundown house into a beautiful 21st century home.
